I'm originally from Connecticut but after a few stops along the east coast of the US,  I'm currently serving with my family where the need is great in Nagua, Dominican Republic. It's right on the coast, which is actually pretty neat, seeing as I've never lived so close to the beach before.
I've now lived in the Dominican Republic for about two years and a half so far, but was formerly living in San Fransisco de Macoris, about a forty-five minute distance from where I am now. It took a while to get accustomed to living here, but with Jehovah's help and a little perseverance, DR is starting to feel like home. This blog is dedicated to documenting the adventures I have here, but I have a couple of hopefully helpful pages up on the menu and a dictionary of local slang for those who are planning on joining me in the DR. Feel free to ask me any question and thank you for stopping by!
